Dan O’Connor is a veteran storyboard artist, animator, director, and illustrator based in Los Angeles. This is the first time he has written about himself in the third person, and its weird.

Although he was born in Norwalk Connecticut like his hero B. Kliban, Dan grew up in New Jersey. He studied illustration at the Savannah College of Art and Design before starting his career in Atlanta animating for Cartoon Network at Primal Screen studio. A move to New York City turned into supervising on the cartoon “Courage The Cowardly Dog”. He then settled at his current and longtime home of Los Angeles. He is best known for his work on Adult Swim’s animated series “Rick & Morty”, for which he contributed storyboards to 34 episodes over the past eight seasons. He has illustrated for magazines and websites, animated for music videos, appeared on The Jerry Springer Show, and created both scripted and pitched storyboards for over a dozen animation studios for animation veterans such as Wes Archer, John Dilworth, Dan Harmon, Thurop Van Orman, Dave Wasson, Justin Roiland, and Ryan Quincy. His principle influences are Don Martin, Rick Griffin, Guy Billout, Errol Otus, Nick Park, Cordell Barker, and Jack Davis.
